You can program the Gizduino to do certain actions only when you type in a specified key to the serial monitor. It is also possible for you to read the data sent by the Gizduino. This experiment allows you to control which LED will turn on when you type in a certain key to the [...]

Using the analog input and output pins you can control how much voltage the Gizduino produces to a pin. Having this control of voltage in the Gizduino allows you to vary the brightness of a LED or the speed of a motor.

You will need the following:

Most electronic devices has an on/off switch; you can do the same with your Gizduino. Implementing a on/off switch to your circuit with a Gizduino is possible with the use of the digital pins.
You will need the following:

Connect positve end of LED to digital pin 13 and negative end to the 100 ohm resistor. [...]

After the familiarization and the necessary preparations of the Gizduino, you can now write sketches to program your Gizduino. In the succeding entries I that I will post, I will discuss basic commands to program your Gizduino. For references, I will use sample sketches pre-set in the Arduino IDE and sketches that I have written.
In [...]

Arduino IDE

After the necessary software preparations, you should familiarize yourself with the Arduino IDE.
Programming the Gizduino can be done by these simple steps:

Sketch
Compile/Verify
Upload

The response of the Gizduino depends on the sketch you have written. Sketches are scripts that you send to the Gizduino.

Compile/Verify:
A sketch should be flawless for it to be uploaded to the Gizduino. The [...]

 INSTALLING ARDUINO IDE
DO NOT connect your Gizduino yet!
Before you can start with programming the Gizduino, you need to download the Arduino IDE. You can download the software from the official Arduino website, http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Software. Download the latest version for your operating system.

INSTALLING DRIVERS

Microsoft:
When you connect the Gizduino to your computer, Windows will automatically initiate the [...]

With the use of Gizduino, it is possible design and construct any project you can imagine. Check out the various possible projects [...]

The long holidays gave me the opportunity to play around with our new SIMCOM based GSM modem Model 340 for the first time (and write this blog). The Model 340 GSM Modem has undergone and passed our usual verification tests. Production is already underway, and barring unforeseen events, limited quantities will be available for sale [...]

Before we introduced our first Bluetooth module, our EGBC-04, I actually made several attempts to hack some mainstream USB Bluetooth dongle to see to possibility of converting them for UART functions. The driving motivation is low cost. USB Bluetooth dongles are produced in huge quantity. Economy of scale coupled with fierce competition from rival manufacturers [...]

We received words from our supplier that Benq M23 GSM Module, the module where our GSM Modem kit is based, is no longer in production. I guess we received this info a moment too late because by the time we got the notice, M23s have disappeared altogether from distributor’s shelves. This presented a problem to [...]
