Gizduino is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328 and ATmega168. It has 14 digital input/ouput pins, 6 analog inputs. With a 16 Mhz crystal oscillator, USB connector, power jack for external power supply, an ICSP, and a reset button. Simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable to power it with to a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to use it.
It is an open source computing platform based on simple input/output board and the use of standard programming language. Gizduino is programmed using the IDE (Integrated Development Environment).
It is ideal for beginner programmers and hobbyist because it is very easy to use wherein it is a multi platform environment that can run on Windows, MAC OS, and Linux. It is programmable via USB cable to make it more accessible and allows communicating with the computer.
